Details below. Job Description The Analytics and Decision Support team is part of the Investments Risk and Return group. This team is responsible for the development of an investment data and analytics platform, as well as delivering reporting and analysis that drive investment and business decisions. The Risk and Return Analyst will focus on defining analytics requirements, data sourcing, analysis and report management. The Analyst will work with key leaders to support complex research requests, identify data and analytics requirements and develop data processes to support the project. This position will report hybrid into our Chicago downtown office 2-3 times a week. Key Responsibilities: Work with key stakeholders to define data and analytics requirements to support Risk/Return objectives. Develop POC solutions across multiple data sources to enhance SQL Server-based platform. Assist in the buildout of performance attribution and risk reporting frameworks. Apply analytical and quantitative approaches to analyze and process data. Identify and address data issues within investment tools. Interface with other investment data owners to ensure consistency across platforms. Validate calculation logic and quality of vendor analytics. Perform data analysis to evaluate quality and gaps of new data sources. Evaluate existing processes to identify opportunities to enhance disparate data. Identify relevant data required to support the development of Analytics Data Warehouse. Education and Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience working with portfolio and risk analytics, performance measurement, or performance attribution. Experience working across multiple asset classes, including both public and private assets. Understanding of risk management concepts and key performance drivers within investment portfolios. Experience working with BlackRock, Clearwater or eFront a plus. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CFA, or progress towards CFA preferred. Functional Skills: Proficiency in SQL required with experience using large relational databases (i.e. SQL Server, Oracle). R, Python or scripting language a plus. Experience with widely used analytics tools, such as Tableau. Strong independent thinking and complex problem-solving skills. Self-starter with high attention to detail and accuracy. Ownership mentality with ability to manage multiple projects and a record of successful, prompt execution. Experience with commercial risk systems, such as Aladdin, POINT, RiskMetrics, etc. Demonstrated skills with fixed income analytics with the ability to automate/streamline current processes. Team player with the ability to function as a key member of a small unit and collaborate with other groups. Compensation Compensation offered for this role is $69,200.00 – 123,800.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
