A law firm is seeking a seasoned Labor & Employment Attorney with substantial experience in handling labor matters. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in collective bargaining, with preference given to those with public sector experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly professional, self-motivated attorney looking to cultivate their individual practice while working as part of a collaborative team. Location : Duties : Represent clients in labor and employment matters, including collective bargaining and contract negotiations. Advise clients on labor-related issues, including workplace disputes, grievances, and compliance with labor laws. Draft and review employment agreements, collective bargaining agreements, and other related legal documents. Handle negotiations and arbitrations related to labor disputes. Provide legal guidance on employee relations, workplace policies, and union issues. Conduct legal research and prepare written opinions on labor law matters. Represent clients in administrative hearings, arbitrations, and, when necessary, court proceedings. Develop and deliver training and educational sessions on labor law and employee rights. Maintain client relationships and assist in the growth of the firm's labor and employment practice. Requirements : Minimum of 5 years of experience in labor law, including collective bargaining. Public sector experience preferred but not required. Proven ability to handle complex labor and employment law matters independently. Excellent writing, research, and organizational skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated to build individual practice. High degree of professionalism and a strong work ethic. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Education : Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Certifications : Must be licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction. Skills : Expertise in collective bargaining and labor negotiations. Strong writing, research, and analytical skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to manage complex cases and legal matters. Knowledge of public sector labor laws and regulations (preferred).
