Overview
BYSO is seeking a motivated, experienced fundraiser to lead the organization’s robust annual giving program (including annual fund and leadership gifts), alumni relations plan, parent engagement strategy—both as donors and as fundraisers—and planned giving initiatives. This position will oversee the team that develops and executes all individual donor events, including BYSO’s annual gala. As the Associate Director of Individual Giving, you will be part of a growing team of fundraisers that support BYSO’s expanding operations. You will report to the Director of Development and manage a small team of full- and part-time employees.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the annual giving program (annual fund, leadership gifts), alumni relations, parent engagement, and planned giving initiatives, including donor research, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
Oversee the team that develops and executes all individual donor events, including BYSO’s annual gala.
Collaborate with the development team to support BYSO’s expanding operations and strategic fundraising goals.
Qualifications
Deep knowledge of the non-profit sector and the donor cycle (research, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship).
Experience building and managing a donor plan and pipeline.
Comfort and confidence with face-to-face solicitations of $1,000+.
Creative energy with ideas and thoughtful strategy, plus the skills to ensure successful implementation.
