Monday - Friday | 7:00am - 4:00pm Job Description:
Seeking an experienced QC Manager in the Steel industry who must be AWS certified CWI with proof of certification. in addition, have experience with AISC Audits, be able to coordinate with 3rd party inspectors perform dimensional and visual inspections for shop fabrication, be able to review structural drawings, and create/track in-process non-conformance reports. Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and manage quality control processes for structural steel fabrication and erection projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Oversee and participate in AISC audits, ensuring all processes and documentation meet certification requirements.
Work closely with 3rd party inspectors to schedule and conduct inspections, ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards.
Perform detailed dimensional and visual inspections for shop fabrication to confirm accuracy and quality.
Review and interpret structural drawings to ensure fabrication and erection align with project requirements.
Create, document, and track in-process non-conformance reports, including identifying corrective actions.
Ensure all work complies with AWS (American Welding Society) certification standards and other applicable guidelines.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain thorough records of inspections, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions taken.
Collaboration with Project Teams: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and shop teams to address and resolve quality issues.
