What We Need The Lead Data Scientist will own multiple high-value workstreams within the Actuarial and Analytics Solutions (AAS) department through all phases of development, from ideation to design, build, and deployment. Responsibilities include developing models and analytics to support medical economics, payment integrity, and other finance areas. They will oversee advanced program measurements using statistical analysis and develop predictive modeling use cases. The role also involves contributing to the overall data strategy and ensuring data use cases support decision-making and insights. Mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff are also key aspects. Building strong relationships with cross-functional partners across organizational levels from analysts to SVPs is critical. We seek a healthcare and data science expert to collaborate with Business Leaders, Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers to understand problems and co-create solutions. This role is eligible for our FLEX persona. Your Day-to-Day

Lead research, design, and implementation of data science solutions for business needs. Anticipate and strategize solutions for complex data challenges. Design new methodologies to solve problems or improve efficiency. Apply statistical techniques to analyze noisy or messy data. Synthesize data from various sources to produce insights and recommendations. Drive the development of data models and pipelines. Manage delivery of dashboards and visualizations. Stay updated on current trends and incorporate them into solutions. Coordinate with departmental leaders to ensure consistency in data insights. Communicate analysis and financial impacts clearly to senior leadership. Mentor and develop a diverse team of data scientists. What You Bring: Extensive knowledge of healthcare delivery, medical economics, trend management, pricing, and industry benchmarks. Experience with machine learning, statistical techniques, and deploying predictive models. Effective communication skills across all organizational levels. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a matrix environment. Creative problem-solving skills and strategic thinking. Leadership experience in high-performance settings. Proficiency with Python, SQL, Tableau, R, SAS, and cloud platforms like Snowflake. Experience working in an Agile environment. Education/Relevant Experience: Minimum of eight years in healthcare data analysis, design, and solution delivery. Supervisory experience is a plus. Full-time Salary Range: $163,800 - $200,200 The posted salary range is an estimate and may vary based on several factors. Compensation is at the company's discretion and subject to change.
