The MIT role offers accelerated and intensive training to prepare for a Store Manager position. The MIT will work closely with the District Manager and Store Manager, learning all aspects of store operations including customer service, account management, revenue maximization, customer base growth, and inventory management. The role involves observing experienced coworkers to learn methods, procedures, and standards, and becoming familiar with store and Field Support Center staff functions. All responsibilities should align with the RAC mission statement and core values. Position Details
Reports to: District Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Key Responsibilities
Sales & Account Management
Set and monitor daily and weekly sales goals, oversee coworker sales activities, approve rental agreements, and track results. Manage collections by setting goals, overseeing activities, following up on difficult accounts, and ensuring procedures are followed. Leadership
Manage store resources to meet profit goals, control expenses, and oversee staffing, including recruiting, interviewing, and hiring. Create a positive work environment to retain coworkers and reduce turnover. Support compliance with company policies and programs. Train and monitor coworkers in customer service, sales, and account management, providing coaching and resolving issues promptly. Protect assets through expense and inventory management, cash handling, and security measures. Maintain store appearance and merchandising standards. Qualifications
3-5 years retail/management experience. Completion of RAC’s Store Manager Development Program, 4th Gear. Ability to perform all essential job functions at the Assistant Manager level. Proficiency in store operation applications. Valid driver’s license with a good record. Preferred Attributes
Excellent communication skills, outgoing personality, organized, and driven. Business acumen for improving profitability. Competencies

This role does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but requires leadership within the store. Physical demands include active movement, lifting heavy items, and good vision.
