What You'll Do:
As an Associate Optometrist, you'll conduct eye exams utilizing advanced optometric equipment and general diagnostic interpretation. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and treating ocular disease, and prescribing and fitting eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision aids. You will also be tasked with recommending appropriate patient follow-up and care options, answering questions, and providing advice to patients regarding vision and optical issues. Delivering outstanding customer service through all patient interactions is paramount-a typical day consists of 20 to 25 patients. Furthermore, you will direct staff and assist in the development of the overall practice. The practices are equipped with EHR, OPTOS, Automated Refraction Systems, OCT, VF, and ERG. This position offers a four-and-a-half-day work week, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The ideal candidate is highly skilled in the general principles of optometry and best practices for diagnosing and treating eye-related disorders and conditions. You're able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and an ability to relate to patients of diverse backgrounds, along with excellent customer service skills. The ability to maintain patient confidentiality and general computer proficiency is essential. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and multitasking ability are also crucial to this role. Optometrists will also have the opportunity to develop a specialty niche if desired, and there is potential for growth within the practice, leading to a partnership opportunity.
