Job Description HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry Level I for a travel nursing job in Detroit, Michigan. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/09/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Title: RN - Telemetry Department: Respiratory Intermediate Care Unit Location: Detroit, MI 48236 Schedule: 36 hours/week | 8 hours/day | 5 days/week Contract Duration: 13 weeks Job Summary: The RN - Telemetry provides leadership and coordination in delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced, respiratory-focused medical-surgical unit. Utilizing the nursing process, the RN performs assessments, plans and implements care, evaluates outcomes, and communicates patient needs effectively to the healthcare team. This role also involves educating patients and families while ensuring continuity of care in a multidisciplinary environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation). Monitor and interpret printed rhythm strips. Deliver care to patients with complex respiratory conditions and infectious isolation needs. Care for patients undergoing substance/alcohol withdrawal and general Med Surg cases. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members. Act as a resource and leader within the unit, ensuring adherence to best practices. Document all aspects of patient care clearly and accurately. Adapt quickly and work with minimal supervision. Required Skills & Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of recent Med Surg nursing experience. Strong clinical knowledge and analytical skills to develop nursing care plans. Proven ability to work independently in high-pressure environments. Proficient in interpreting rhythm strips. Education & Licensure: Required Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN). Required Licensure: Current RN license in the State of Michigan.
