Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: Central line care/management CPAP/BiPAP experience Emergency medications knowledge Interpretation of ABGs Interpretation of dysrhythmias Isolation precautions understanding IV vasopressors management Management of dysrhythmias Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure Starting IVs Triage proficiency Experience with ventilated patients Description: The position is for a registered nurse specializing in emergency room care. The nurse will work in a free-standing emergency department. The role involves treating patients of all ages, from adolescents to geriatrics. The nurse will be expected to float within the facility as needed. There will be no call requirements. Every other weekend availability is expected. Travelers must be compliant with all policies to start on time. If three major holidays occur during the assignment period, the traveler must be available to work two of them. Full compliance with all requirements is necessary for an on-time start. Two supervisory references are preferred during the application process.
