We are a well-established, well-equipped family owned and operated Montessori school dedicated to providing an authentic Montessori environment for our students and families. We are looking for a teacher in our Toddler room (18 mos - 3 yrs) who shares our enthusiasm for the incredible potential of each child we assist.
We have a small group size and excellent ratios. Quality Montessori Infant/Toddler training is an asset, but we value talented, teachers with other Toddler backgrounds as well. Our toddler environment emphasizes positive social development, developing independence skills and vocabulary building through engaging experiences.
Responsibilities:
Manage and guide students, ages 18-36 months
Develop and implement Montessori appropriate lessons and activities (will train if needed)
Promote positive discipline and classroom management, assist students develop basic socialization skills
Maintain positive relationships with students and parents
Document and share student progress and evaluations
Maintain the health and safety of all students
Work with teachers of the 3-6 y/o group to ensure a smooth transition as students mature
Qualifications:
California qualified as a Toddler teacher (appropriate ECE units, 12 minimum or recognized Toddler Montessori Certification)
Experience with toddler children
Strong classroom management skills
Fingerprint clearance per CA Dept of Social Services requirements
Excellent written and verbal skills
