Job Description Job Description: Emergency Department Registered Nurse
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a dynamic healthcare facility. The role requires a minimum of two years of recent RN experience in Emergency Services, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Delivering comprehensive and compassionate care to patients in the Emergency Department, which includes a 11 bed Main ED, 6 bed ED Fast Track, and 7 bed ED Observation Unit. - Rotating regularly through various areas of the ED, such as Triage, Quick Registration, Covid Tent, and Entry Screening, based on patient volume and departmental needs. - Assisting with Covid testing and immunization clinics as required. - Adapting to shifting assignments during shifts and providing care in diverse situations, which may include floating to other departments as needed. - Managing patient loads or performing task-oriented duties, including answering call lights and phones, depending on experience and competency.
Shifts: - 12-hour shifts are required, with flexibility to work days, mids, or nights as needed. - Typical schedule involves working 7 consecutive days followed by 7 consecutive days off, alternating between 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next week.
Required Certifications: - BLS (Basic Life Support) certified by the American Heart Association. - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification. - PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course) certification. - TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification. - Certification in conscious sedation (available through facility after confirmation; fee applies).
