Job Title: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12 Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Valid State License required Certifications: BLS, CST, NBSTSA or NCCT accepted Must-Have: Scrubbing experience required, inpatient experience Description: Possible scheduling includes Monday to Friday, non-holiday from 0630 to 1900. There may be on-call hours from 1900 to 2300. Saturday and Sunday hours are from 0630 to 1900, with on-call coverage from 0700 to 0700. On-call response time is 30 minutes. First-timers accepted. Types of cases required include: General, Ortho, Ortho/Spine, Ortho/Total Joints, Urology, Endo/Laparoscopic, Vascular, Gyn, Abdominal Hysterectomy, C-sections, Dilation & Curettage, Laparoscopic assisted gynecological procedures, Vaginal Hysterectomy. Scrubbing experience is needed for these cases. Types of cases preferred include: Ophthalmology, Plastics, Podiatry, ENT, Robotic assisted gynecological procedures. Experience in Sterile Processing Department (SPD) preferred. Floating may be required between facilities. Patient age groups include Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, and Geriatrics. The daily census may vary. Special equipment is preferred, but not required. Candidates should have knowledge of decontamination and sterilization processes. The main operating room has multiple surgical suites dedicated to various case types. Some suites handle open heart surgeries. Additional support for SPD may be requested as needed.
