Job Summary
The Chief Financial Officer will engage and/or assist in planning, directing and supervising Hospital operations with regard to budgeting, marketing, computer system(s), cash flow management, maintaining accounting systems, administering records of inventory, accounts receivable, accounts payable and collections.
Responsibilities
1. Directs all business office functions, supervises business office personnel, and maintains all hospital financial records in a current status.
2. Reports in a timely fashion all required financial reports, utilizes an accounting system and computer software that meet hospital needs.
3. Maintains Charge Master in compliance with current pricing and procedures.
4. Supervises all credit and collection activities, and keeps accounts receivable in a current status.
5. Reviews all invoices and supervises the accounts payable process.
6. Manages the admission and discharge processes, and provides all departments with needed financial information and support.
7. Maintains the general ledger and manages the payroll function.
8. Directs and coordinates departmental budget preparation, and monitors the utilization of approved budgeted resources.
9. Manages procedures involved in programs concerning the hospitals property, casualty and liability insurance coverage.
10. Provides assistance with projects and prepares financial reports as directed.
11. Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1. Must have a current TX driver’s license or Government ID.
2. Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a field of accounting, or must have at least 4 years’ experience as a manager in an accounting position related to the health care industry.
3. A Public Accountant Certification is preferred.
4. Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
5. Must represent the Hospital well in the community.
6. Duties require intermittent walking, sitting, standing, pulling, bending, stooping and reaching to perform tasks and be able to lift objects that may weigh as much as 50 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,624.16 – $91,074.25 per year
