Overview
Tax Manager role at Withum. The Healthcare Tax Manager position is based out of one of our offices in New Jersey, NYC, San Francisco, or Philadelphia. You will work with an integrated team of CPAs and industry leaders on all aspects of tax engagements and client relationships.
Withum’s Tax Services Group is made up of a team of tax specialists who work to ensure tax reporting obligations are met accurately and timely and to minimize or defer the payment of taxes. Their comprehensive understanding of international, US federal, state, and local regulations allows them to help develop economical tax strategies anywhere. Their services include Business, Individual, State & Local tax, R&D Tax Credit, as well as International and Private Client services.

Responsibilities
Coordinating as part of the healthcare services group tax team on the review and filing of annual tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120-S
Working on various tax consulting special projects
Attending professional tax webinars and presentations to the healthcare industry
Providing day-to-day tax assistance to healthcare industry clients
Supporting and coordinating with our healthcare group’s audit and consulting teams
Contributing to the continued development of staff and the growth of the firm’s healthcare niche practice
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA license, JD or a Master of Science in Taxation
At least 5 years of prior experience working in the tax department of a public accounting firm, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff
Excellent analytical and technical tax skills
Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment
Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the Firm well to client management
Excellent analytical, organizational, project management skills, and strong attention to detail

In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, as well as the individual’s skills, experience and qualifications. New Jersey ranges are from $95,000 - $185,000 annually
New York City ranges are from $105,000 - $160,000 annually
San Francisco ranges are from $135,000 - $170,000 annually
