UTILITY SENIOR SERVICES MANAGER (BILLING DIRECTOR) (CLASS CODE 3095)

Overview
Professional, supervisory, administrative, and technical work directing all activities relating to the Billing and Accounts Receivables Department. The Director of Billing and Accounts Receivables is responsible for monitoring and managing all functional areas of the billing office, including billing, reimbursement, accounts receivable, and related compliance and privacy requirements. The position is also responsible for the overall performance of SWBNO’s billing hearing functions. The position will also function as the second in command to the Chief Customer Service Officer. Work includes planning, assigning and reviewing the work of mid and lower-level managers and providing leadership, personnel and technical guidance to staff.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership and supervision to mid- and lower-level managers in the Billing and Accounts Receivables Department, including planning, assigning, and reviewing work; ensuring adherence to applicable compliance and privacy requirements.
Monitor and manage all functional areas of the billing office, including billing, reimbursement, accounts receivable, and related processes; drive improvements and ensure accurate, timely billing and collections.
Oversee the organization’s billing hearing functions, ensuring effective operation and adherence to policies.
Serve as second in command to the Chief Customer Service Officer; participate in strategic planning, policy development, and operational execution.
Develop staff through coaching, training, and guidance to build a high-performing department.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or related field from an accredited college or university.
Six (6) years of professional, salaried, administrative experience in a similar role, including at least two (2) years supervising a professional staff in Billing, Collections, Bankruptcy and/or Customer Service, and monitoring and managing budgets.

Additional Information Domicile requirements are currently waived for the purpose of application.
