Cooley has an opportunity for a
4th-5th year attorney with private equity and M&A experience
at
Cooley LLP . The ideal candidate should have excellent drafting, writing and analytical skills, strong attention to detail, organizational, verbal, interpersonal and project management skills. Experience in drafting and negotiating purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements and other ancillary transaction documents and meeting the day-to-day requirements of private equity fund and portfolio company clients is expected. The ideal candidate will have good business and strategic judgment and play a lead role as an extension of the client business teams working in a team-oriented and dynamic environment. Excellent academic credentials and prior large firm experience working with private equity sponsors required. EEO.
Responsibilities
Drafting and negotiating purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements and other ancillary transaction documents for private equity funds and portfolio companies.
Meeting day-to-day requirements of private equity fund and portfolio company clients and acting as a lead member of client business teams in a team-oriented environment.
Qualifications
4th-5th year associate with private equity and M&A experience; excellent drafting, writing and analytical skills; strong attention to detail; organizational, verbal, interpersonal and project management abilities.
Excellent academic credentials and prior large firm experience working with private equity sponsors.
Compensation The expected annual pay range for this position is
$310,000 - $365,000 . Final offer amount will depend on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset.
