Packaging Engineer (UFAO) Location:
Suburb of Boston, MA Job Type:
Full Time (Onsite preferred) Responsibilities
Broad experience on a diverse set of product and packaging formats, including but not limited to rigid plastics, flexibles, glass, metal and secondary packaging. Rigid packaging is apriority. Management of external resources like suppliers, testing labs and prototyping firms. Technical leadership of projects commercialization, scale up and launch. Technology scouting and open innovation. Food & beverage filling & packaging equipment and operations. Manage and execute packaging innovation and productivity projects. Manage Innovation Project from concept through commercialization and retail shelves. Work with internal customers to commercialize packaging designs and concepts. Represent packaging in cross functional team meetings to develop and implement new packaging and packaging changes to realize cost savings. Conduct line trials. Conduct lab testing. Develop packaging specifications. Candidate Requirements
Minimum 5 years of a proven Packaging Innovation track record with successful launches in market for Food & Beverage or CPG companies Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Packaging Engineering or related fields. Hot Fill PET, glass bottles, corrugated cases, folding carton, graphic changes, pallet load configuration; cost savings projects, supply and manufacturing experience Good communication skills both oral and written
