The Sr. Manager of Software Engineering will have excellent analytic and solutioning skills with the ability to solve interesting and challenging problems that arise in radar and associated command and control systems. As the Manager, you will lead a dynamic team of Software Engineers working on radar, supporting sensors, applications, and software across the company, providing progress updates to Senior Leadership. This is a customer-centric role in a highly dynamic environment where requirements and goals are fluid. Job Responsibilities
Design, develop, analyze, test, and debug computer software applications and systems, including Image and Signal Processing, Real-time systems, Firmware, Databases, Operating Systems, and Operator/Machine Interfaces. Develop software tools such as operating systems, compilers, utilities, databases, and AI applications. Determine hardware compatibility and complete documentation for installation and maintenance. Interact with users to define system requirements and modifications. Manage a team of software engineers on complex projects. Understand customer end-use applications and develop tailored solutions. Create documentation for existing software. Drive program design considering cost and manufacturing requirements. Communicate effectively with team members and customers. Participate in proposal preparations. Support and promote the organization’s mission, values, and culture. Attend engineering, customer, or business meetings as required. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field with 7+ years of experience. Proficiency in C, C++, C#, JavaScript, Python, Rust. Understanding of Linux (Ubuntu), Git, Atlassian tools, Kafka, NextJS, NodeJS, Postgres, Qt, and willingness to learn new technologies. Experience with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Experience with scripting languages like Python and Shell, and source control systems such as GIT and SVN. Experience in embedded multi-threaded application development and inter-process communication. Experience with Windows/MFC GUI design and programming. Knowledge of network protocols, messaging libraries, and socket programming. Military customer interface experience is preferred. Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of AESA Radar types, concepts, and operational theory, especially software aspects. Experience with Linux RHEL. Knowledge of Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Data Transformations. U.S. Citizenship and an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain one are required. The salary range for this position is $154,658 to $240,106 per year. The actual salary offered will depend on factors such as experience, education, certifications, and market considerations.
