Junior Personnel Security Specialist(Top Secret Required)

SiloSmashers is seeking a Personnel Security Specialist to support our federal law enforcement client with personnel security support.
Functional Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide support and service for the administration of the FBI Security Program, participating in complex security assessment investigations conducted by FBI Field Offices (FOs). Conduct, review, and analyze interviews with internal subjects of investigations, including FBI applicants, contract/access applicants, and others requiring security clearances or access to FBI spaces. Support, analyze, and research complex problems related to Personal Security. Complete reports and presentations utilizing critical thinking and analysis skills. Contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Advise supervisors on potentially controversial matters with broad implications. Initiate or perform FBI indices checks, arrest record checks, and similar activities to gather pertinent information. Review FBI files and related materials to assess an individual's security risk. Summarize data and draft correspondence to FBI Field Offices, outlining background, research findings, and security concerns; issue guidance for investigations. Coordinate with FOs for investigation submissions, examine investigative reports for compliance, and recommend additional actions as needed. Recommend polygraph examinations and interviews based on data analysis, and prepare related communications for FBI HQ and FOs. Analyze investigation results to ensure issues are resolved and information gaps addressed, aiding security clearance decisions. Prepare formal analyses of security concerns and resolutions. Establish and maintain liaison with FBI divisions, DOJ, and other agencies, including IC members. Coordinate with FBI components to develop and resolve issues. Recommend methods and procedures for security clearances, including SCI and regulations. Perform security assessment investigations and provide recommendations to FBI HQ. Review requests for security investigations and analyze all information to determine security standards compliance. Assist with case briefings and debriefings as needed. Manage official documents within designated systems, files, and tracking tools. Minimum Experience Requirements: 3-5 years in personnel security investigations or investigative analysis. Bachelor's Degree with 2 years' experience, associate degree with 4 years, or 8 years of law enforcement experience in lieu of a degree; 16 years in lieu of a Master's Degree. Current TS security clearance, capable of obtaining SCI access, including passing a CI polygraph exam. Experience with database checks and credit reports. Experience with routine office administrative functions. Strong analytical skills to review and analyze investigative materials for security vulnerabilities. Minimum of 4 years developing and writing Reports of Investigation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internet research. Experience with federal and IC IT systems for record checks. Knowledge of federal database systems and security documentation processes. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
