$100.00 – $115.00/hr W2 Job Description: We are seeking experienced
Lead Platform Engineers (x3 openings)
to design, build, and scale secure, cloud- platforms that power enterprise-grade applications. This role involves leading DevOps practices, automating infrastructure, and enabling developer workflows on
AWS and Kubernetes production systems . As a senior engineer, you will also
mentor junior engineers
and drive adoption of best practices for cloud security, resilience, and scalability. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of containerized and Kubernetes-based production systems.
Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodeStar.
Automate infrastructure deployments using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
Ensure security best practices including IAM policies, secrets management, and RBAC.
Support and scale AWS environments (EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC, Route53, etc.).
Implement GitOps tooling for Kubernetes deployments (Helm, Flux, ArgoCD).
Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior DevOps/Platform Engineers.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and optimize platform deployments.
Requirements: Must-Haves: 7 years of experience with DevOps for Containerized and Kubernetes production systems
4 years of experience with AWS and CI/CD and developer workflow automation, such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodeStar and IaC, such as Terraform, AWS CDK, or AWS CloudFormation
3 years of experience with Kubernetes Deployment and GitOps tooling, such as Helm, Flux, or Argo CD and Cloud and Network Security architecture, such as least privilege and IAM, secrets management, RBAC, and Boundary Protection
Experience with AWS EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, RDS, DynamoDB, KMS, SSM, ELB, VPC, or Route53
Experience with AWS Organizations, AWS Control Tower, or AWS Landing Zone Accelerator
Experience leading and mentoring junior Software or DevOps Engineers
Bachelor's Degree
Nice-to-Haves: Experience with
Istio, Kyverno, Prometheus, Grafana, or Keycloak .
Background in
vulnerability management, static/dynamic code analysis .
Experience hardening AMIs and container images (DoD STIGs, CIS Benchmarks).
Familiarity with
SIEMs, logging, and audit frameworks .
Knowledge of
APM tools
like Datadog, New Relic, or Splunk.
Strong troubleshooting skills for platform deployments and configurations.
