Please note that the salary range is for the BAY AREA ONLY (primary location) the other locations will have a different range We are currently seeking a Sr. Software development Engineer in test (SDET) to join our automation team. The position requires an experienced professional with a background in test automation framework development and deployment. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can do attitude and approaches his/her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment. Role Develop and maintain Test automation framework. Develop and execute automated/manual test cases and perform bug tracking and management. Understand user features and create test plans and test cases for assigned features. Contribute to building a flexible and scalable automation solution. Be a customer advocate and work closely with the team to ensure our testing strategy and environments resemble closely to customer use cases. Drive validation of high quality, high performance, and production ready software Ensure quality from low-level software to end applications Validate software in simulation and on vehicle Test and release in alignment with vehicle integration, ensuring quality at the vehicle level Design, maintain and execute automated tests, including functional, system integration, functional, regression and API testing Support and coordinate between QA engineers and the development teams to ensure growing test coverage
Qualifications
7+ years of non-internship professional software development testing experience. 5+ years of test automation frameworks and tools building experience. 5+ years experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python or Java, including object-oriented design. Relevant experience in field of automotive. Experience in test automation for Linux, QNX, Android OS, and/or iOS. Experience with continuous integration systems. Highly technical, organized, creative, motivated, and passionate about achieving results.
Educations
Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science, engineering, math, or related field.
Salary Range
The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
