Overview

Consolidated front-end engineering achievements at Talentsky from 2020 to 2024, focusing on architecture, SSR, tooling upgrades, and workshop features. Key Contributions

June 2024 – August 2024:

Created architecture and assisted in server-side rendering. Used Vite to render both server and client with a minimal package footprint to speed up initial load times and improve performance for users and bots. April 2020 – April 2024:

Created, maintained and extended the basic architecture and implementation of server-side rendering (SSR) used on Talentsky. Vite supported the development environment for fast development and on-demand SSR. Server-side state is managed with Redux. A common static method is used to cross over between Node and client for backend calls on page-level components, and a global initial state is generated to repopulate with React. January 2024 – April 2024:

Led the frontend integration of Zoom's SDK into Talentsky's software infrastructure, ensuring a robust architecture for real-time video communications; collaborated with cross-functional teams to design and implement a secure, scalable system. October 2023 – December 2023:

Developed software for Talentsky workshops; contributed to building a new workshop feature for Talentsky.com. Chakra UI adoption:

Chakra UI is a component library used to normalize styling of React layouts; based on TypeScript definitions, it speeds up the creation of responsive layouts and is used in workshop pages. January 2023 – April 2023:

Built out the new messaging system for Talentsky; created components and connectivity with XD designs, using the getStream SDK to build the chat module and main messaging page with external linking via email. October 2022 – January 2023:

Upgraded frontend build tools from Webpack to Vite, enabling SSR and dynamic imports, with improvements to routing and loading; the site builds are significantly faster and development is streamlined. October 2022 – January 2023:

Upgraded frontend code from React 15.6 to React 18.2 to enhance security and integration with third-party libraries; this required a routing rewrite to fit the new structure and enabled modern features to speed up loading. September 2021 – October 2021:

Consulted with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements, or resolve customer problems. Technologies & Roles
