Overview
Meta is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineering Manager to join our team. As an engineering manager you will support, enable and empower your team, managing high performing engineers to make a meaningful impact on billions of people around the world. Software Engineering Managers are characterized by progressive technical experience and demonstrated progression in management responsibility.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality products and solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technical innovation
Develop and implement technical strategies to achieve business objectives
Foster an environment of continuous learning, growth, and improvement
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of software engineering work experience, or PhD with 4+ years of experience, including hands-on technical management
Demonstrated experience recruiting, building, structuring, and leading technical organizations, including performance management
Bachelor of Science or Master in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
Experience supporting, coaching, mentoring, and developing software engineers
2+ years of experience managing a team of engineers with varied skill levels
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on technical manager with experience building holistic web-based software solutions, API design, and interactions between servers and clients

Compensation Base pay range: $177,000.00/yr - $251,000.00/yr. In addition, compensation may include bonus, equity and benefits. Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Learn more about benefits at Meta.
