From misconfigurations to malware defense, Upwind ensures end-to-end, cost-effective cloud infrastructure protection. We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our Sensor Components SW-Engineering group to build Upwind Sensor for Windows OS. The group faces complex engineering issues daily, solving new challenges and improving existing solutions. We work with all major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and use technologies like Go, Kubernetes, Docker, eBPF, and more. Responsibilities Customer focus: Collaborate with product management to implement customer-requested features. Full project ownership: Oversee all project phases from inception to production, including design, development, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance. Technical leadership: Contribute to architectural decisions and conduct code reviews to ensure high quality. System optimization: Analyze and enhance backend systems for performance, scalability, and reliability. Build top Security modules for full protection providing network monitoring, processes, file integrity, detection and responses. eBPF sensor development: Develop and refine our eBPF-based sensor to provide Kubernetes cluster visibility for proactive threat detection. Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with frontend, backend, and DevOps teams to deliver features. Requirements Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Software Engineering or related field 3+ years of experience with Software Engineering in high-level languages (e.g., Golang, Java, C, C++, C#) Experience developing Windows Security modules utilizing WMI or other security frameworks - Win32 applications and/or kernel drivers. 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) Experience implementing data-intensive systems (databases, messaging systems, etc.) Familiarity with Windows internals, networking, and file systems Experience developing Windows security modules in networking, processes, or file systems is a plus.
