Overview
Databricks is hiring a Senior Director, Application Product Management to lead the strategy and transformation of the Go-to-Market (GTM), Customer Support, and Marketing solutions portfolio. This role defines and executes a product strategy for enterprise applications, including the Salesforce ecosystem, with direct impact on our global GTM and CX organizations. You will translate business objectives into an Application Product Roadmap, leveraging consumption-based processes to enable scalable delivery and adoption across sales, marketing, and customer support. First-principles thinking is essential for solving complex challenges and architecting innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the GTM, Customer Support, and Marketing solutions portfolio; align with Databricks' business goals and optimize for consumption-based revenue models and the end-to-end sales motion.
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of Application Product Managers; provide strategic guidance, coaching, and career development.
Serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, and other functions; influence strategic decisions through technology and translate complex concepts into clear business value.
Champion adoption and integration of AI tools across GTM and CX solutions to automate and scale sales productivity.
Partner with IT Architecture and Engineering to ensure architectural integrity, security, scalability, and maintainability; anticipate growth in a consumption-based environment.
Oversee the full product lifecycle from ideation to launch, adoption, and optimization; establish governance and metrics for predictable delivery and high-quality, impactful products, including easing the quoting experience.
Champion a data-driven approach to product management by defining success metrics and KPIs; leverage analytics, market research, and user feedback to inform decisions.
Lead efforts to transform complex business processes through technology to improve the customer and employee experience.
Qualifications
15+ years of IT Product Management experience with a GTM and CX focus; demonstrated strategic leadership.
7+ years in senior leadership overseeing product managers and strategic portfolios, preferably in high-growth SaaS.
Proven experience applying JTBD and CUJ frameworks in enterprise SaaS with measurable business impact.
Direct experience leading GTM transformation initiatives that improved productivity and revenue.
Strong first-principles thinking with examples of breakthrough solutions.
Deep Salesforce expertise (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud) and familiarity with the broader Salesforce ecosystem and related GTM/CX technologies.
Advanced experience leveraging AI tools, including generative AI and intelligent automation, to drive business value.
Proven ability designing IT product strategies for consumption-based models to enhance end-to-end sales processes and quoting.
Data architecture and analytics experience with the ability to design measurement frameworks and interpret complex metrics.
Enterprise software security and compliance expertise in regulated environments.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Change management certification or equivalent experience preferred.
Pay and Benefits Pay range for Zone 1: $302,600—$423,725 USD. Compensation includes base pay and on-target earnings for commissionable roles, plus annual bonus, equity, and available benefits. Location-based variations apply; details are on the company page.
