Packaging Procurement Manager
Location: Woburn, MA (Hybrid: Mon–Thu in office, Fri remote)
Overview: My client, a global food manufacturing company is seeking a Packaging Procurement Manager to lead sourcing strategies and manage packaging procurement across manufacturing sites and co-manufacturers. The role focuses on cost optimization, vendor management, sustainability, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze market trends, material costs, and packaging spend Develop sourcing strategies and track key performance metrics (KPIs, PPV/IPV) Qualify and manage suppliers, lead negotiations, and oversee contracts Support budgeting and drive packaging sustainability initiatives Partner with R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing teams Lead cost-saving and efficiency improvement projects
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Packaging, Engineering, Business, or Economics (MBA preferred) 3+ years in strategic sourcing (CPG, food, or related industries preferred) Strong analytical, financial, and project management skills Experience in procurement practices, vendor relations, and contract law Willingness to travel up to 30%
