CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Our CFO assumes responsibility for all accounting and finance operations of the credit union including balance sheet management and the production and maintenance of financial reports, accurate and reliable accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles as well as credit union regulations. This role is responsible for leading the accounting and finance teams to support the needs of the credit union, proactively offering recommendations related to budget preparation, income forecasts, and operational changes that will positively impact the credit union. Our CFO will coordinate with management to ensure accurate and proper reporting throughout the organization.
Qualifications For a Chief Financial Officer
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration. Ten years financial institution management experience including supporting strategic transactions of significant complexity and scale; understanding fundamental drivers of financial institutions and developing and presenting CEO and board level communications. Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Three years Controller experience in a financial institution with exposure to operations of cash management, ACH, share drafts, and computer networks. Five years of progressive accounting and financial analysis experience. Three years' experience with automated general ledger system, budgeting, financial statements and investments. Detailed understanding of credit union regulatory reporting. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Advanced level proficiency with computers and software applications including Microsoft Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
