Job Summary:

Oversees all human resources functions within the dealership, including recruitment, employee relations, training, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws and regulations. This role is integral in supporting a productive and engaged workforce, ensuring that HR practices align with dealership objectives, and fostering a positive and compliant work environment.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage hiring processes, collaborate with managers, and lead orientations.

Employee Relations: Address concerns, resolve conflicts, and promote engagement initiatives.

Compliance: Ensure adherence to labor laws and maintain accurate HR documentation.

Training & Development: Design and implement training programs; support performance and leadership growth.

Benefits: Administer benefits and assist with compensation planning.

HR Policies: Develop and enforce policies; maintain the employee handbook.

Performance Management: Oversee reviews and support employee development.

Safety & Risk: Coordinate safety programs and manage incident investigations.

Reporting & Strategy: Track HR metrics and advise leadership on workforce planning.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in human resources management, preferably in an automotive dealership or similar industry.

Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations, employee relations, and benefits administration.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite.

HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) is preferred.

Knowledge of Netchex preferred but not required

Knowledge of CDK preferred but not required

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods.

Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and through digital channels.

Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds, such as carrying employee files or office supplies.

FLSA Status: Exempt This position is classified as exempt under the FLSA due to its responsibilities in overseeing HR functions, exercising discretion and independent judgment in significant business decisions, and engaging in non-manual work related to the management and operations of the dealership.

Salary:

Compensation for this role is competitive and commensurate with experience, with an estimated base salary range of $150,000 to $200,000.
