Overview The East Bay Community Foundation (EBCF), a leader in racial equity and social justice since 1928, seeks a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to drive operational excellence and strategic impact. Based in Oakland, EBCF manages over $600 million in assets, supporting grantmaking, impact investing, and donor services across Alameda and Contra Costa counties. The COO will modernize systems, enhance cross-functional collaboration, and oversee HR, Facilities, IT, and Board engagement, ensuring daily operations align with EBCF’s mission for a more just and inclusive East Bay.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

10+ years of senior operational leadership experience, preferably in the nonprofit or philanthropic sectors.

Strong track record in managing teams and leading complex change initiatives.
