Strategic Finance, Infrastructure Lead

with expertise in cloud spend and infrastructure investment strategy. The role involves shaping Atlassian’s cloud and infrastructure roadmap through financial insights, modeling, and cross-functional partnerships with engineering, product, and operations teams. Candidates should have strong financial skills, experience with cloud cost structures (AWS, GCP, Azure), and a passion for data-driven decision making. Key Responsibilities Develop and drive financial models to evaluate cloud infrastructure costs, pricing, and ROI, providing recommendations to leadership. Lead strategic analysis for long-term cloud capacity planning and infrastructure projects, balancing growth, performance, and costs. Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to inform cloud and infrastructure strategies with financial insights. Support strategic planning, including build vs. buy analyses and vendor negotiations. Analyze margins and unit economics related to cloud consumption to influence product decisions. Contribute to board reports, investor updates, and leadership presentations on infrastructure costs and strategy. Qualifications 5+ years in strategic finance, FP&A, corporate development, or investment banking, preferably in tech/cloud environments. Deep understanding of cloud cost models (AWS, Azure, GCP), pricing, and infrastructure planning. Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with tools like Anaplan, Tableau is a plus. Ability to translate complex data into clear insights for strategic decisions. Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills. Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a proactive approach. Bachelor’s in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or related; MBA or similar is a plus. Compensation & Benefits Our salary ranges are above market average, with actual pay based on skills and experience. In the US, pay zones are: Zone A: $164,700 - $215,025 Zone B: $148,500 - $193,875 Zone C: $136,800 - $178,600 This role may include bonuses, equity, and other benefits. Details at
