Pega is offering a 16-week paid Return-to-Work program ("Returnship") for experienced professionals who have at least 5 years of experience and are returning to the workforce after a hiatus of at least 1 year. As a member of the Cloud Operations team, you will be responsible for the reliability, availability, and security of Pegasystems cloud service offerings. We operate as a global follow-the-sun 24x7 team with locations in Krakow, Bangalore, Sydney, and the East Coast of the United States. You will work on cloud problems and apply your networking knowledge to improve the reliability of Pega cloud infrastructure. You will own the systems you manage, investigate root causes quickly, and collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to deliver best-in-class support. What You'll Do at Pega
Handle alerts, incidents, service requests and changes within SLA. Own customer escalations Provision and upgrade infrastructure components and network solutions Troubleshoot and resolve customer environment issues with root-cause analysis Create and maintain operational runbooks and Standard Operating Procedures Participate in pre-release product testing with Engineering Identify opportunities for automation of repeated operational tasks and reduce toil Manage projects and adapt to changing business goals Participate in after-hours on-call rotation including weekend shifts Be able to support FedRAMP (US citizenship and residency required) Ability to obtain clearance to work in Government cloud if required Hybrid work setup: from a Pega office in Dulles, VA or Waltham, MA or any other Pega offices in the USA Who You Are
Proven professional and technical experience in an enterprise cloud environment supporting SAAS applications with a focus on operational delivery excellence and customer service You are self-motivated, inquisitive, and creative, with a passion for continuous improvement and excellent people skills Works well with cross-functional global and remote teams Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly to meet business requirements Comfortable working in a fast-paced, enterprise environment Possess customer obsession and proven empathy towards customers What You've Accomplished
You are skilled in Cloud, Linux and Networking Technologies, and have accomplished the below: 3+ years of enterprise-scale cloud operations or cloud engineering experience 2+ years of experience in Pega 2+ years of hands-on operational experience with AWS networking and services; exposure to GCP is a major plus 2+ years Linux systems administration experience 1+ years experience in Kubernetes (K8s) or Docker or other containers Knowledge of deployments and management of AWS services including Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, VPC, Route 53, ELB, EBS, EC2, S3 Understanding of network administration fundamentals - DNS/DHCP, Load Balancing (AWS ELB, F5), Firewalls (Cisco/Juniper), IPSEC VPN and dynamic routing protocols such as BGP, MPLS/VPLS, IPv4/IPv6 Excellent network latency analysis, performance monitoring and troubleshooting Willingness to pick up automation scripting (Bash/Shell, Python, or similar) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent AWS or GCP Certification preferred CCNA or CCNP Certification, a plus Opportunity to collaborate with diverse global teams on real-time, impactful projects Competitive salary and perks Casual and fun work environment Professional development and skills training in partnership with a specialized taskforce Structured manager and mentor program Support system from Return-to-Work Alumni Equal Opportunity and Diversity
