The Opportunity
You will be joining a highly collaborative a gile development tea m responsible for building, extending, monitoring, and maintaining our flagship IMOS Platform for maritime commerce management. A great chance to work with engineers at all experience levels with diverse backgrounds, while providing opportunities to exercise your talents by participating in all facets of software development.
A Closer Look At The Role
This role will provide opportunities to get your hands on various tasks/technologies such as:
Design, develop, and support scalable SaaS applications Gain knowledge of the complex business requirements and needs of the maritime shipping industry Work with Product Management to gather/translate business requirements into technical solutions Write high quality, testable code to design, develop and support our existing backend services and front-end code Contribute to architectural discussions and technical design decisions Collaborate with team members through code reviews and pair programming
Skills/Experience Needed To Be Successful In This Role
3-5 years of experience as a software engineer 1 + years of experience with C++ Experience in developing backend services using object-oriented design Experience with SQL Server or other relational database systems Familiarity with architecture design principles and technical documentation Ability to work in agile development framework and communicate effectively with team members Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice S kills to H ave ( N ot R equired):
Experience with accounting principles, financial industry, or maritime shipping industry Knowledge of automated testing frameworks
