Program Director – Arete Transitions Overview The Program Director provides leadership and direct participant services at Arete Transitions, ensuring excellence in program design, staff management, and individualized therapeutic care. This role balances strategic oversight with active engagement and services, advancing Arete’s mission to empower young adults in cultivating resilience, independence, and holistic well-being. Core Responsibilities Program Leadership & Administration Lead the implementation, and continual improvement of all program components, including academics, vocational readiness, independent living, wellness, and social development. Supervise, coach, and evaluate program staff, including coaches, direct care, and residential team members. Establish and monitor outcome measures, ensuring program delivery is consistent with best practices and Arete’s mission. Collaborate with organizational leadership across Arete programs to ensure alignment and continuity of care. Maintain regulatory compliance, quality assurance standards, and program policies. Therapeutic Case Management Provide direct case management for assigned participants, including assessment, treatment planning, progress tracking, and individualized coaching. Facilitate communication and collaboration among the internal staff at Arete and external stakeholders including family and referring professionals Support participants in setting and achieving personal goals related to academics, employment, health, and independent living skills. Partner with families to foster healthy relationships and effective communication, while supporting participant autonomy. Document participant progress and ensure timely communication with families and referring professionals. Qualifications & Skills Master’s degree in education, counseling, social work, psychology, or related field; licensure (LCMHC, LICSW, LMFT, etc.) preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in program leadership and/or therapeutic case management, ideally within young adult transition programs, residential treatment, or higher education. Proven ability to supervise multidisciplinary staff and build collaborative, high-performing teams. Strong organizational and executive functioning skills with attention to detail. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
