Summary
Job Description
Reporting to the Executive Director, Honors EDGE, the Program Coordinator provides essential administrative, operational, and communication support for the John Martinson Honors EDGE Program. The Coordinator plays a key role in supporting a dynamic, student-centered honors experience focused on creativity, leadership, and interdisciplinary engagement. Also, this role supports Admitted Student Days, Open Houses, and other Sunday recruitment events, as well as occasional evening programming throughout the academic year.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day logistics using core university systems, including: CourseLeaf (course planning) Banner and Workday (registration permits, purchasing, budgeting) 25Live (room reservations) Slate for admissions processing Other student support platforms Maintain and track the Honors EDGE budget; process purchases, reimbursements, and faculty requests. Coordinate honors course registration and permit assignments. Organize and maintain application records for fall and spring honors admissions cycles. Serve as the first point of contact for students and faculty. Manage the Honors EDGE email account and maintain student and faculty listservs. Provide administrative support for the peer mentorship program and Suitable co-curricular tracking platform under the direction of the Assistant Director. Assist faculty with logistics for honors seminars, events, and classroom needs. Coordinate logistics and provide on-site support for program events, including: New Student Orientation Leadership retreats Guest lectures Student workshops and socials Staff and support Sunday events such as Admitted Student Days and Open Houses. Assist with evening events as needed. Draft newsletters and announcements; update the Honors EDGE website in collaboration with University Communications. Use tools like Canva, Qualtrics, and Google Suite for program materials, surveys, and visual content. Support the Assistant Director in data tracking for program assessment and institutional reporting. Provide administrative support for special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Executive Director. Perform other duties as assigned. Management retains the right to add or change job duties at any time.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Minimum two years of professional experience working directly in higher education. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite. Experience with or ability to learn institutional systems such as Banner, Workday, and CourseLeaf.
Preferred
Master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, public administration, or a related field. Experience working in an honors program or academic enrichment environment. Familiarity with survey, academic tracking, and design tools such as Suitable, Canva, and Qualtrics. Demonstrated ability to use or learn AI tools and digital productivity platforms.
Salary Range
$63,833.23-$70,221.74 Annually
