Opened an offsite 24 bed, 24/7 emergency room in Central Pasco to better serve the emergency health needs of residents in west and central Pasco. The role you'll contribute: Manages daily operations of the central sterile supply unit sterile processing department in support of surgical procedures. The value you'll bring to the team: Develops specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization. Collects and reports on data concerning instrument distribution, loss and replacement. Works collaboratively to identify and implement strategies related to product standardization, supply reduction, and cost containment. Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management. May perform and oversee processes such as scheduling, recruitment, payroll and student engagement. Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, vendor relations, and quality and process compliance of all sterilization activities throughout the health system according to industry regulations. Monitors quality and process compliance of all sterilization activities. Manages quality assurance programs by adjusting work product goals in conjunction with regular audits trends and metrics. Establish and maintain sterilization, safety and security standards, policies and procedures for Sterile Processing Department to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. Qualifications The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: High School Grad or Equiv Required Technical/Vocational School Required Associate Preferred Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - Cert Required Or Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST) Required Or Certified Sterile Processing Tech (CSPD) Required Or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Required Or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Required And Certified Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) Preferred And Certified Healthcare Leader (CHL) Preferred This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
