Job Description Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours
Experience: One year of Nuclear Medicine experience preferred License: Pending Nuclear Medicine license allowed Certifications: Must be registered in Nuclear Medicine within 6 months of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire. Must pass a Basic Cardiac Monitoring class within 4 months of hire.
Must-Have: Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred Must be capable of operating state-of-the-art Nuclear Medicine gamma cameras, probe and computer systems, and other technical supportive devices.
Description: Performs Nuclear Medicine procedures in compliance with hospital policies and procedures. Work schedule is four days a week, ten hours per day. Start times will vary between 6:30 AM and 8:15 AM based on assigned shift. This is a rotating weekday position with on-call requirements. On-call days will be approximately seven per month, but these shifts are not very busy. Candidates must be capable of performing various Nuclear Medicine scans and procedures such as HIDA scans, cardiac perfusion imaging, and PET scans. The candidate should also be familiar with patient care and safety protocols, including isolation precautions. Epic charting experience is a hard requirement for this position. Candidates may be required to float to other facilities as necessary. Refusing to float may result in contract cancellation. This position requires efficient communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary support services.
