All the benefits and perks you need for you and your family: Up to $5,000 Sign On Bonus Starting Pay $19/hr Mileage Reimbursement for Float Pool Benefits from Day One Paid Days Off from Day One Student Loan Repayment Program Career Development Whole Person Wellbeing Resources Schedule: Full Time Shift: Days Location: Providing Coverage for Henderson, Transylvania, Buncombe, Haywood, Polk, and Graham Counties The role you'll contribute: The medical assistant, under general supervision, provides appropriate care to patients as well as follows AdventHealth service standards. This includes safely and effectively greeting patients, obtaining clinical information, financial and demographic information. Responsible for assisting providers during treatment and examination and may assist with procedures and medication administration as ordered by the provider. Performs office duties as needed; which includes but is not limited to, verifying insurance, collecting copays and scheduling necessary appointments. The value you'll bring to the team: Assist with screenings per physician orders and enters all information accurately and at the time of service or results Performs clinical intake according to AHMG policy and procedures May be responsible for assisting with minor procedures associated with specialty May be required to travel as needed to fulfill staffing needs Safety/Whole care Must maintain education requirements for position and demonstrate competency, as required Is responsible for maintaining OSHA regulatory enforcement and other office compliance Qualifications The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: High School Grad or Equiv Required 1 Work Experience Preferred Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA Required or American Medical Certification Association (AMCA) Required or American Medical Technologists (AMT) Required or National Center for Competency Testing-Medical Asst (NCMA) Required or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Required or National Association for Healthcare Professionals-Medical Asst (NRCMA) Required or American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA) Required This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
