PURCHASING PROCUREMENT MANAGER

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team. The Procurement Manager will oversee the end-to-end procurement function, ensuring the sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of materials and services essential to our company's operations. This role requires strong vendor management skills, expertise in contract negotiation, and a proven ability to develop purchasing strategies that drive efficiency and cost savings.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of supply chain management and purchasing practices, demonstrate leadership experience, possess excellent communication skills, and have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and suppliers.
Responsibilities Develop, implement, and oversee purchasing strategies to optimize procurement operations. Source and procure raw materials, equipment, office/production supplies, and contracted services in support of company operations. Negotiate vendor agreements, contracts, and pricing to ensure favorable terms and long-term cost savings. Conduct vendor performance reviews and establish performance metrics to ensure quality, reliability, and adherence to compliance standards. Collaborate with internal departments (operations, finance, production, and leadership) to understand purchasing requirements and align procurement activities with business needs. Monitor inventory levels, manage stock replenishment, and implement effective inventory control procedures. Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to forecast demand, schedule orders, and reduce stock shortages. Research market trends, analyze pricing data, and identify opportunities for strategic sourcing and cost reduction. Prepare purchase orders, maintain accurate procurement records, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of procurement staff to ensure departmental objectives are met. Ensure compliance with internal policies, ethical sourcing standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. Perform all other related duties as assigned. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Proven experience as a Procurement Manager, Procurement Specialist, or in a related purchasing/supply chain role. Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain principles, and contract management. Proficiency in procurement and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle EBS, SAP, or similar). Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive cost savings without compromising quality. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments and with external suppliers. Demonstrated leadership ability with prior experience managing a team.
