About the Role The Corporate Counsel will join the Risk Solutions Litigation Legal Team, which manages all litigation and subpoenas across the organization. This role directly supports the head of Litigation and will focus on defending lawsuits brought against LexisNexis Risk Solutions companies. The position requires developing effective litigation strategies, advising the business on potential outcomes, applying knowledge of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (including e-discovery), and conducting thorough fact-finding and research. About the Team The Litigation Legal Team’s mission is to minimize exposure to the company’s assets and reputation by managing lawsuits to successful resolution and recommending steps to reduce future risk. Operating in a highly complex, heavily regulated, and rapidly evolving environment, the team partners with outside counsel and internal stakeholders to deliver strategic, business-focused legal support. You’ll Be Responsible For Managing the company’s response to individual and class action lawsuits, including working with outside litigators on defense strategies.
Evaluating and responding to third-party subpoenas while identifying potential risks.
Monitoring lawsuits filed against other industry players to assess potential threats.
Conducting legal research, preparing memoranda, and advising internal clients and colleagues within the Legal organization.
Supporting e-discovery processes.
Responding to inquiries from Finance, Global Risk Management, and other internal teams.
Managing assigned projects to completion.
Assisting senior attorneys and management with higher-level matters, as needed.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in Georgia or another U.S. jurisdiction.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant litigation experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent project management, analytical, and research capabilities.
Experience with regulatory matters or within a regulated industry (preferred).
Ability to exercise sound judgment, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
