Responsibilities The HR Strategic Business Partner (SBP) is the HR face to the business leader ship. This role will work closely with the central Manufacturing functions – Global Engineering & Global HSE, Technical Services/Manufacturing Science (TS/MS), Global Supply Chain & Manufacturing Strategy, and Continuous Improvement. You will also supervise an HR Business Partner that support these organizations. The role has five main areas of focus: Know the Business Develop and Enable a Workforce Strategy Bring HR Competence Balance the Desires of Leadership, Employees and the Company Lead within Lilly HR Community

Know the Business The HR Strategic Business Partner (SBP) Is a key member of business leadership teams and understands and contributes insight into the business strategy beyond HR functional expertise for several complex LRL functions that are either industry leading or on their journey to become industry leading Learns the culture, environment and style of the business and its leadership Challenges the business leaders to deliver on bold organization goals and objectives that will stretch the team while balancing risks Proactively assesses complex organizations and implements changes to the organizational design

Develop and Enable a Workforce Strategy The HR Strategic Business Partner (SBP) Ensures that the multiple businesses have an effective workforce strategy in place to deliver on the portfolio needs Enables business leadership to recruit, develop and retain talent to meet leadership and technical capabilities needed in the organization Provides strategies to help ensure that the workforce is included, engaged, motivated, and appropriately rewarded to achieve both long and short-term business objectives

Bring HR Competence The HR Strategic Business Partner (SBP) Provides strategic and operational advice, consultation, and coaching to the senior leaders on critical organization and talent-related issues Enables business leaders to be most efficient in the use of both HR COE support and HR SBP support Is bold and brings innovative solutions to solve business problems Works with subject matter experts in HR including compensation & benefits, recruiting and staffing, leadership development, talent management, and the GDEIO to ensure that the policies, programs, and plans best serve the needs of the business that they support Coaches direct report in delivering high quality HR support

Balance the Needs of Leadership, Employees and the Company The HR Strategic Business Partner (SBP) Enables high quality informed decisions by advocating, in a balanced way,the needs and priorities of the Company, the Management and the Employee. Maintains objectivity in order to provide business leaders with different perspectives

Lead within Lilly HR Community The HR Strategic Business Partner (SBP) Partners with HR COEs to continuously improve HR services to enable desired business outcomes and experiences Shares best practices across HR Develops HR talent by sharing best practices and mentoring Basic Qualifications Bachelors Degree At least 4 years of HR Business Partnership and/or supporting HR CoE or relevant business areas Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Additional Skills/Preferences Strong preference for demonstrated expertise in organization design and organizational effectiveness Experience supervising and coaching HR professionals for successful delivery Expertise in strategic and operational planning, executive team development, leadership development, performance coaching, and/or rewards design Prior HR SBP experience Experience in organizational, team, and individual improvement interventions Global experience Six-Sigma Experience Supervisory Experience Graduate degree or MBA with emphasis in organization development, human resources, leadership development or related discipline or equivalent experience This is an Indianapolis based role. The anticipated wage for this position is $150,000 - $220,000 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
