Position Summary
SCC is seeking a
Part time Specialist, Biotechnology Program.
The ideal candidate will build strong K-12 connections with a focus on SCC's service-area school districts in St. Charles, Warren, Lincoln, Pike, Montgomery, and Callaway counties, and be knowledgeable about biotechnology and/or STEM fields in general. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Maintain database of science educators across Missouri Attend PLTW showcases, science fairs, and other STEM-related or industry-aligned events Assist with dissemination of information about SCC's biotechnology program, careers, jobs, and SCC resources to teachers and students Maintain communication with Advisory Board members, particularly K-12 partners Provide logistical support for field trips, networking events, and panel discussions Provide logistical support for educator-training workshops
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Associate's or Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience required. Reporting Relationship Executive Director, Outreach and School Relations
