JASSM Enterprise Software Lead Architect

Joint Air to Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM) - Enterprise Software development for the USAF Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM) is a United States Air Force (USAF) program to provide an autonomous, long-range, conventional, air-to-ground, precision missile able to strike highly defended, high value targets. JASSM Enterprise Software (JES) was developed to improve quality and speed in targeting and strike planning solutions across multiple 363rd Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group (363 ISRG) production units and the Standoff Munitions Application Centers (SMAC). The JES Lead Architect creates and enforces rigorous, modern, and common software processes and tenets (including requirements, design, architecture, and test), and drives modern, consistent and common technology and tooling across the program. The JES Lead architect is responsible for the JES System of Systems architecture and has decision authority for cross-program software architecture items. The JES Lead Architect manages the methodology and detailed approach for tailoring JES applications for JASSM Foreign Military Sales (FMS) partner countries, and the accompanying software build and configuration management strategies. This role requires the following: Serve as the Lead Software Architect for the JASSM Enterprise Software (JES) Program. Drive consistency of technology and tools across the JES Program. Drive a scalable software architecture, especially related to exportability and releasability for Foreign Military Sales (FMS). Identify technological solutions to potential program challenges. Develop and enforce coding standards across the JES Program. Ensure overall technical solution fulfills customer needs. Travel would be required

Please Note: This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration. As part of the C4ISR Weapons Platform Integration (WPI) team, you will support software architecture and development for the JASSM Enterprise Software program. Reporting to the Engineering Project Manager, you will work with cross-functional, multi-site teams and should be comfortable working in a highly dynamic customer environment and adept at working with geographically dispersed teams. You appreciate the analytical side of work and can visualize and understand complex systems- you think optimization problems are fun! At the same time, you find it easy (and also fun) interacting with colleagues and customers. You are a wanderlust who enjoys traveling and discovering new places and can thrive in remote locations with little oversight. Basic Qualifications

5-10 years of experience leading software architecture and design efforts for sufficiently complex software systems and/or applications. Experience with full-stack web-based design, development and test, preferably with experience in the following: GUI/front-end mock-ups, Angular, .NET, C#, and SQL / database development. Experience developing and maintaining software development standards, including Coding Standards and Best Practices. Experience establishing and enforcing strong software architectural tenants, including modularity, flexibility, and extensibility. Desired Skills

Experience with software configuration management, specifically managing common and variant software code baselines, including build and deployment strategies, for tailored software deployments to multiple customers / end-users. Experience with (or knowledge of) adopting and applying 1LMX and Lockheed Martin Software factory modernization initiatives onto programs. Experience developing and maintaining a tools and technology roadmap. Experience developing and maintaining software architecture and design artifacts, including context diagrams, external and internal interface diagrams, and detailed design and interface specifications. Experience defining and managing software measurables, including Key Performance Parameters (KPPs) and/or Technical Performance Measures (TPMs). Experience in agile scrum and scaled-agile framework development process, roles, and rhythms Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead a team of multi-function, multi-site engineers. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support the development of communications to customers at peer and senior levels. Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
