Integrate automated testing, code analysis, and container orchestration into the development workflow. Redesign legacy UI components for improved usability, accessibility, and supportability. Transition from hardware-intensive graphical interfaces to modern web-based user interfaces. Apply a Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) to increase interoperability, maintainability, and flexibility of federates. Collaborate with systems and cyber teams to ensure software components align with open standards and DoD mandates. Work closely with system engineers, cyber architects, and exercise planners to gather requirements and align technical solutions with operational goals. Document software architecture, technical design decisions, and development best practices. What you must have: 5 years experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience. Experience in refactoring legacy systems and implementing microservices architectures. Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python, JavaScript). Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or DoD Cloud equivalents) Experience with Containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) Demonstrated experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.) Experience with Version control systems (Git) Familiarity with Modular Open Systems Approaches (MOSA) and DoD software architecture standards. Knowledge of simulation and training environments, preferably JLVC or similar federated simulation systems. Must have and be able to maintain a Secret Security Clearance. Preferred requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both in a team and individually. Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail.
