Senior Estimator / Preconstruction Manager
Full-Time | Decatur, AL | Competitive Base + Bonus + Full Benefits
A well-established general contractor in North Alabama is looking for an experienced
Senior Estimator / Preconstruction Manager
to support its growing pipeline of ground-up commercial projects - from hospitality and education to industrial and senior living.
Project Scope: Diverse commercial: Hospitality, K-12, churches, senior living, light industrial
Projects typically range up to $50M (largest completed: $100M)
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead preconstruction efforts from budgeting to GMP
Develop detailed cost estimates across multiple scopes
Work closely with clients, architects, and subs during early design
Oversee value engineering, bid analysis, and subcontractor coverage
Collaborate with operations for smooth project handoff
What We're Looking For:
7+ years of estimating/ preconstruction experience in commercial construction
Strong communication and presentation skills
Background in negotiated and hard bid work
Experience with takeoff and estimating software
Compensation & Perks:
Base salary: $125K-$150K+ (negotiable for top candidates)
Performance-based bonus
Medical (BCBS) / Dental / Vision
401(k) with 4% match

80 hours PTO + holidays
