Apex Systems has an immediate need for a Hybrid Cloud / Systems Solution Architect on-site in Norfolk, VA. This will be an "est. 3-6 Month Contract to Possible Permanent Hire" opportunity, supporting one of our largest DoD / Government clients on the East Coast & Nationwide! Location: Norfolk, VA (On-Site/Office) Clearance Level: Secret Contract Layout: est. "3-6 Month Contract to Possible Perm Hire" Salary/Pay Range/Rate: $180,000 - $185,000 Yearly Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills: Master's in IT and 19+ years' experience -OR- Bachelor's and 24+ years' experience in a related area within DoD/Navy programs, Master's preferred. Experience with architecting, developing, deploying, and managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions in a DoD environment. Experience with architecting core cloud services related to servers, VPCs, permissions and networking and how they interact. Extensive knowledge of enterprise architecture principles and practices, particularly in managing complex, global IT systems. Project Details / Mission Supported: Provide technical leadership for specifying, designing, implementing, testing, accrediting, deploying, and sustaining enterprise system and service architectures in a distributed, net-centric environment. Leverage DoD policies, architectural frameworks, and commercial best practices to design and develop Service Oriented Architectures that satisfy enterprise scale requirements. Lead system architects and engineers in decomposing enterprise architecture into system components and services for analysis, design, implementation, testing, accreditation, deployment, and sustainment. Keep abreast of new enterprise architecture solutions including leading-edge technologies in cloud computing within DoD. Maintain technical currency on evolving technology trends and available COTS products that implement these technologies. Ensure integration between legacy systems and modern web-based applications running on multiple operating systems. Develop and maintain enterprise architecture documentation and standards.
