Job Summary
The coordinator is a professional who is an expert in the care of the palliative patient population/subspecialty area. The coordinator assumes a leadership role and supervisory responsibilities in the development, organization, implementation, and evaluation of the supportive and palliative end of life educational program throughout Children's of Alabama.
Education Education and experience as follows:
Master's degree in social work Master's degree in counseling Bachelor's degree in nursing Master's degree in specialty or equivalent degree preferred
Experience A minimum of two years' experience required. Pediatric oncology and/or hospice experience preferred. Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries Unrestricted license to practice in state of residence. (LCSW, RN, etc) Prefer current certification in or plans to obtain certification as a certified Hospice & Palliative Pediatric Nurse (CHPPN) or a certified Hospice & Palliative Care Administrator (CHPCA) within a reasonable timeframe.
