Engineering Applications Development And Support Developer
The Engineering Applications Development and Support developer is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of digital applications and systems within an engineering environment. This role encompasses the design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of software solutions that support engineering functions and business needs. The ideal candidate will work closely with users and cross-functional teams to ensure systems are user-friendly, reliable, and aligned with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities/What You'll Do: Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain digital engineering applications and systems to support engineering functions and business requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Analyze user needs and develop solutions to improve system functionality, efficiency, and user experience Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices. Participate in code reviews. Perform thorough testing (unit, integration, system) and support application deployment processes. Provide ongoing application support, including troubleshooting, bug fixing, and performance tuning. Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, configurations, and support procedures. Participate in the development of system architecture and infrastructure to ensure scalability and reliability. Manage application configurations and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and security standards. Monitor application performance, proactively resolve issues, and implement enhancements. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital engineering applications development and support. On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required. Required Education, Experience, & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is required plus six (6) or more years related experience. Full command of C# or Java and professional experience with a subset of the following (Python, SQL, JavaScript, Rust). Experience with software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines). Familiarity with configuration management, version control, and automated testing tools. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment. Experience with cloud-based technologies and DevOps practices is a plus. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills: Experience in a digital engineering or systems engineering environment. Experience with digital twin, model-based systems engineering (MBSE), or other engineering domains. Familiarity with Product Life Cycle Maintenance (PLM), Computer Aided Design (CAD), or simulation tools and their integration into digital workflows. Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture. Experience with user-centered design and UI/UX principles. Pay Information: Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
