Position Summary: This position reports to the Supply Chain Manager as part of the plant's Supply Chain team and is responsible for planning raw materials, ordering materials, and providing guidance to the shop floor Supervisors and Managers on flow, inventory, rework, and other information related to the timely completion of orders. This position will also participate in physical inventory. Data entry, writing tags and reconciliation. Ensure raw materials are available in necessary time frame to support production. Review MRP and place orders for raw materials. Assist in return of nonconforming materials. Provide reports for consignment level to suppliers and accounting. Receive incoming raw materials into SAP. Responsible for consignment inventories turned into purchasing monthly Issue raw material to production. Schedule incoming export shipments with Import/Export Coordinator. Brief Summary of Primary Duties:
Responsible for providing a procurement plan for all raw materials Manage inventory levels: entitlements vs. Stocking programs Ability to problem solve stocking variances with cooperation with Warehouse leaders Maintain and facilitate a plan for SLOB and obsolete raw materials Ability to utilize and initiate an effective FIFO system (first in/first out) Ability to build a good consignment plan where warranted or needed Ability to work with production to build good stock locations and help facilitate good visual factory management of raw materials Ability to utilize SOP's and CDA's as resource documents which would include being active in deviation plans & reports such as TDCA, BOM accuracy and Material Balance Responsible for ADP verification /approval of production and plant service department Responsible for outside warehouse inventory and deliveries of raw material Effectively communicate with suppliers via phone,fax,email Reconciliation of supplier packing slip and invoice discrepancies with receiving and accounting Ability to hold suppliers accountable for purchase order attainments and accuracy Be active and responsible for cycle counts for all raw materials in process of attaining an inventory exemption plan Clearing Cogi- issuing raw materials to shop floor Input all raw materials in SAP Manage tags / assign location for all raw material /keep ongoing inventory of on hand supply Assist in scrap inventory obsolete Expectations:
Abiding by all rules and procedures, making safety the first priority, reporting all safety incidents or issues immediately, maintaining a clean work area, and completing any/all tasks assigned by supervisor. Specific Skills/Training Required:
Ability to utilize SAP applications fluently, fluent in Microsoft Office applications and experience in excel and outlook. Good people skills required (frequent interaction with suppliers and production personnel), extremely organized-able to remain calm under stress, be proactive. Education:
High School/GED Diploma, preferred bachelor's degree. Experience:
Previous 5 years of manufacturing experience as a planner. Safety Requirements/Physical Requirements:
