programs, rules, and compliance requirements) Job Description: Generate monthly GAAP-compliant financial reports for a portfolio of managed properties. Prepare and analyze monthly account reconciliations, including detailed schedules and roll-forwards for key balance sheet items (e.g., fixed assets, accounts receivable, prepaids, accrued liabilities). Perform monthly general ledger (GL) closings for assigned properties, coordinating with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure correct classification of revenue and expenses. Execute quarter-end accrual entries and general ledger reconciliations for managed assets. Contribute to year-end closing activities and collaborate with external accountants during financial audits and tax return preparation by providing accurate year-end work papers and documentation. Compliance & Regulatory Oversight Partner with the Controller to oversee accounting procedures for managed properties, ensuring adherence to HUD guidelines, investor requirements, and relevant state and federal regulations. Support preparation of required tax filings and ensure compliance across all reporting obligations. Forecasting, Budgeting & Analysis Collaborate with Property Managers to support financial planning and forecasting, including variance analysis and budget preparation. Provide ongoing financial insights to aid in property performance reviews and long-term planning. Complete or review monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of recorded transactions and resolution of discrepancies. Seniority level
