The Estate/Gift/Trust tax group is seeking a Manager or Senior Manager with a strong background working with high-net-worth individuals and family offices, capable of managing multiple client relationships and advising on income, trust, estate, and gift tax matters. Our team often works with clients and their attorneys to advise on estate planning, including charitable and non-charitable gifting, trusts, and tax strategies. We also prepare relevant tax returns related to these plans. Our team members gain extensive experience in estate, gift, and trust taxation through both consulting and compliance work.

As a Manager in our Tax service line, your responsibilities include:

Providing tax compliance and advisory services to High Net Worth Individuals, their closely related businesses, trusts, and exempt organizations

Collaborating with clients and their advisors on income tax issues and planning

Developing and maintaining strong client relationships

Identifying and proposing solutions to complex income tax issues

Possessing experience in individual income tax, gift tax, estate tax, and trust taxation; estate planning experience is a plus

Conducting thorough research on complex tax issues

Ensuring the quality of work products

Overseeing planning and scheduling of engagements

Monitoring workflow

Coaching and mentoring team members

Providing feedback

Required skills and experience:

Proven experience leading and supervising teams of seniors and staff accountants

Ability to learn, teach, and supervise in a fast-paced environment, receptive to feedback

Strong project management skills

Effective communication of progress to partners

Strong technical and communication skills

Ability to work independently

Multitasking, prioritization, and initiative

High attention to detail

Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and firm technology tools such as Thomson Reuters, GoSystem, ProSystems/Axcess

5+ years of relevant experience

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; Master's, J.D., or LLM is a plus

CPA license required

This salary range is specific to the listed states and considers factors such as skills, education, experience, licensure, and organizational needs. The estimated range is $140,000 to $180,000.
